Hospital Hospitality House of Southwest Michigan is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Through the generous support of our community (i.e., Individuals, civic groups, businesses, and our hospital partners), we can fulfill our mission to make it easier for families to support their loved ones receiving medical care by providing a homelike, comforting place to stay.

Annual Appeals

Each year, we hold a Summer Appeal and a Year-End Appeal. You can give a gift online today.

Others ways to give

  • A gift of personal property or financial assets such as stocks and bonds to a charity upon the death of the person who made the will.

  • A way to gift funds in IRAs and Retirements Plans and Life Insurance Policies by designating the charity as the beneficiary.

  • A way to gift IRA funds up to $100,000 (must be 70½ or older) directly to a charity without a taxable distribution.

  • An irrevocable trust that generates a potential income stream to the donor, with the remainder of the donated assets going to the designated charity.

  • A contract between donor and charity, where the donor transfers cash or property to charity in exchange for a partial tax deduction and a lifetime stream of annual income from the charity.

  • Harding’s Markets will contribute up to 4% of your purchases to the House using your registered card.

    Here’s how it works: (1) Pick up a card at any Harding’s Markets and (2) Register your new card at hardings.com, designating the House as your charity.

  • If you or your employer participates in the United Way campaign, you can designate all or part of your donation to the House.

    For the United Way of Battle Creek and Kalamazoo Region Donor Form:
    1) In the “designate support for a specific service area” box, check Kalamazoo County and indicate the dollar amount or the percentage of your total gift you would like donated to the House

    2) Write “Hospital Hospitality House of Southwest Michigan, 828 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo, MI 49001″ in the blank space at the bottom of the box. The HHH account number is 82446.

    For other United Way organizations, ask your representative for instructions.
